Keeping indoor allergens under control was Amy’s key to happiness.
This is Amy, a 23 year old woman who loves to paint and hike. Since she got her new dog Caesar, she has constantly been sneezing, and had a runny nose and watery eyes in spring and autumn.

Allergy blood test results showed sensitisation to mould, pollen, and dog dander. Together, they pushed her allergies above her symptom threshold. |
Amy worked with her doctor to reduce her exposure to allergens. She put a dehumidifier in the basement to reduce mould, kept the dog out of her bedroom, and kept the house and car windows shut during the spring and autumn pollen seasons. She also showered before sleeping to reduce contact with dog dander. She bathed the dog regularly to keep him clean.

As a result of reducing exposure to her allergic triggers, Amy is now using less medication, and her symptoms went away. Moreover, her dog got to stay. |
