Jennifer's asthma management was sub-optimal.

Jennifer, a 17-year, old suffers from allergic rhinitis and asthma. In school, she was consistently exposed to her classmates' colds and viruses. She used an inhaler to control her persistent asthma, but still missed out on a lot of classes and extracurricular activities.

Complete Allergen test results told Jennifer she was sensitised to tree pollen, dog dander and dust mites.

Jennifer was advised by her doctor to manage allergen exposure with a few easy-to-follow recommendations. Her doctor recommended she regularly bathe the family dog and keep it out of her bedroom to reduce exposure to dog dander. In addition, she now uses an allergen-impermeable pillow cover to reduce exposure to dust mites1.

By limiting exposure to the allergens within her control, Jennifer is able to have more symptom free days and has reduced her inhaler dosage2. Her asthma is now better managed.
